Since forming after a marathon Cinco de Mayo bash, the LJ3 band has been performing all over Atlanta as an “Acoustic Trio with Electric Tendencies.” They pride themselves on being adored by audiences across the board with their multi-dimensional sound created with both male and female lead vocals, rich harmonies, and an array of influences that transcends decades and styles.
LJ3 finished their 2015 EP, “1000 Miles An Hour,” (an album that transcends genres with its eclectic mix of drum tones, guitar stylings, and layers upon layers of vocals), landed #1 on the ReverbNation Local Charts, #2 on the ReverbNation Regional Charts (as of May 2016), and opened for Toad the Wet Sprocket in August 2016 at Suwanee Town Center Park!
Lets meet the guys…
Bobby Z (guitar/vox) originally hails from New England, but is now a solid piece of the Atlanta music scene. Not only is he the gritty guitarist and vocalist for LJ3, he also performs as a solo artist, as half of the acoustic duo, 2 on the Loose, and as part of the progressive rock trio, Watch Pocket! Bob brings a dynamic rock ‘n’ roll vibe to LJ3 with his warm vocals, layered guitar looping, and melodic solos.
Jim (percussion) started performing with Bob as members of the Atlanta-area band Brothers Belvedere, and they’ve been playing together ever since. In addition to LJ3, Jim also performs in a David Bowie tribute band, Jerome Newton, as well as the innovative space rock band, Spaceseed, who co-headlined the 2014 Sonic Rock Solstice in Wales! Jim brings a diverse collection of tones and rhythms to LJ3 that guarantee rocking vibes for all.
